It was Darabont's idea for the season two premiere. It was (is) fucking awesome and it's a shame AMC cut his balls off.

Remember the tank zombie? Yeah... that actor is a familiar one. He was uncredited in that role for a reason.

So, yeah, is it a "spoiler"? Not really, because it only spoils what was to be, but likely never will be. Unless AMC decides to run with it later in the series. But I doubt it.

Good pickup, there NDub. That was really interesting and would have made for an awesome episode. Now that the cat is out of the bag, I doubt they would ever actually do that, but seeing the fall of Atlanta, especially as described, would have been awesome.

As they noted in the article, it would have been a good way to bring new viewers into the series.

My guess is the cost was really the driving decision not to film that episode. I mean, they already use flashbacks fairly often to open an episode, so setting a full episode in a flashback wouldn't be much of a stretch from the tone the show has already set.

I love that idea. Too bad they won't use it.

Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious the budget cuts were what nixed this and probably many untold ideas from Darabont. If you watched that interview, Witwer was seriously pissed about it.

I'm at work, so I couldn't watch the interview, but I'll check it out later. And, of course, he's pissed ... He has to go back to telling people he's an out-of-work actor as he hands them menus. :D

I guess you don't watch "Being Human" then...since Sam is the star of his own show with one of the kids from the "Detrroit Rock City" movie. It's about a vampire that lives with a werewolf and a ghost and they all try to live normal lives (well, the two guys that are alive at least).

Never heard of it. Sounds like something on the CW. Quickly looking at his IMDB credits, it appears Witwer gets steady work doing voiceovers for cartoons and video games.

It was just a throwaway joke, but yes, it was apparently inaccurate.

He really feels indebted to Darabont for giving him a role in "The Myst" so I think that fuels a lot of his anger.

He should be more pissed he had a role in that shitfest. :)

Holy shit, AMC. Way to screw up something that could have been fucking awesome.

Yeah, it's a terrible show...I watched the pilot and gave up hope. It got a season 2, so some hormonal tweens must love it.
Although, I know him best from when he was on Smallville.

Totally. Darabont's letter is just... fuck, man.
