I haven't seen the above clip because I want to stay spoiler free but where do you guys think this back-half of the season is going to take our faithful characters?

They've got no choice but to leave the farm at this point, right? I know there was some desire from a couple members to just settle in and live there but I doubt Herschel is going to let them stay and I HIGHLY doubt most would want to now given what happened in that barn.

So, they leave. We've got six episodes left. Anyone think there's an ultimate destination they reach this season or will they just meander about? And what are the odds we see a resolution to the three outstanding plot points (The black guy, Darryl's brother and what the CDC doc said) by the end of this run?

Ft. Benning was the destination at once point...but I am holding out they follow the comic a bit with one awesome storyline. If not, I'm ready for the ride regardless.

Why would they even bother with Ft. Benning, apart from some misguided attempt at having SOMEWHERE to go? The CDC was already overrun and, if you as a survivor just apply a small percentage of logic, you'd know that that would be the absolute LAST place to fall.

I've got to imagine at this point that, if this really happened, you'd basically just be going town to town hoping to find a situation like the farm where you can live in (relative) safety hoping that someday, maybe, you outlast the walkers.

  4. I did and I had NO idea who the two dudes were. I thought one looked like Merle, but I'm sure it wasn't.

I'd like to see some problems with other survivors - some crazy woods/survivalist people or maybe some rovers who want to take the farm by force.

Also, I can't help but think Darabont put the helicopter in the pilot (the one Rick saw in the pilot) because it was something going back to his grand idea to start season 2.

Problems with other survivors have been a big part of the comic. I'm assuming one big one is the storyline spikechiquet was talking about.

Well, what would you do? They can't stay on the farm (boring anyway) so they have to go somewhere. Meandering about scavenging off the land waiting for zombies to show up doesn't sound like much of a plan. They have to be somewhere they can fortify and guard and live in some relative peace.

Figured I'd bump, since this series revs up again tomorrow night.
At least the search for the little girl is over.
Do we know how widespread the zombie-fication around them has been? Do they? Is this a hyperlocal problem or is the whole nation full of hungry rotting corpses? Foreign lands too?

I would guess it's widespread since the guy at the Atlanta CDC seemed to think he was at the end of the line.

Yeah, he mentioned the French were getting close to a cure, so I think it's safe to assume it's worldwide.

Caught a bit of the marathon today. I had missed some, including the zombie attack at the end of "Vatos," when Rick and the others get back from the city during the attack. Great stuff.
