In this case, 'Nebraska' was the perfect name. So solid.

    Women drivers.

  4. Yes...
Towards the end I was WTF did they dub this episode Nebraska?

    So, (spoilers) ....

They shoot two guys... Will that lead to people looking for them? The dudes said they had a group with them? True or Bullshit? If they are with a group, won't they come looking for them, find the bodies and start looking for Rick and Co.?

    WTF was Laurie thinking?
Even in post-apocalyptic America woman can't drive.

Agree! As soon as she had the wreck my wife said "I hope she's trapped and the Walkers come eat her." She is the worst character on the show.

She has to be the first human being in this history of motherhood to get pregnant and then lose a considerable amount of weight.

Reading the comments on Sepinwall's blog, the readers bring up several good points/quibbles:

    1. Dale is making quite a leap to say that Shane killed Otis. He really only has Shane's vague description of the scene to go on, and seeings Shane pointing a gun at Rick, which could have very well been accidental.

    2. Almost a universal pan of Lori going after Rick/Hershel. You never go out alone in this world. In fact Lori has made that point to people before. Yet she does. And she leaves within like 30 minutes of Rick and Glenn heading out to find Hershel. The entire reason for her being in the car makes no sense whatsoever. Almost like a forced plot point.

    3. Rick denying the two folks in the bar refuge reeks of hypocrisy after begging his way into the CDC. I understand that Rick probably used some sort of cop sense to figure out those two were shady. But they can't seem to figure out which part of the moral compass Rick lands on.

  8. 1: Didn't Dale or someone also put together Rick shaving his head (I think there is still a scar) after returning from the encounter?

3: I think Rick's answer to those guys was meant to be ironic. Because it also ran true with Rick's groups' attempts/arguments to remain on the farm.
And those guys were shady. Didn't need any cop sense to get that.
Rick shooting both guys? Front and back and he got 'em both?
And Glen, holding a shotgun stands there?

No doubt they were shady. The big dude had the shifty eye thing going. Writers did a great job of setting the tension in that scene. The fact that Glen did nothing goes to show how worthless he is in a fight-type situation. He's brains, not braun, for sure.

I also think Rick was taking into consideration Herschel's POV. It wasn't his place to invite anyone else onto his property.

I went off on Glen just watching. You don't think Shane or Darryl wouldn't have had that shotgun pointed at fat man with a "keep your hands where I can see them?" warning? The shifty eyes, as mentioned, were a dead giveaway something bad would happen. I was disappointed in Glen that he 1. Didn't react. 2. Apparently didn't sense the danger Rick (and viewers) did.

I've also read a couple of reviews that questioned Rick's killing two people. They were going to kill Rick and force the weaker two left to take them to the farm where they would rape and pillage. Rick finally got his Shane on.

    Minor spoilers............

If anyone watched the trailer for next week's episode after Sunday's ended, it showed people who were with the two that got shot coming to look for them.
