That's not what I meant. What I meant was, in today's modern times, who uses arrows? If the show is based on the idea that today's civilization has gone to hell, wouldn't Darryl have to go to a hunting type store in order to find arrows? It's not like they're readily available at the local piggly wiggly and my guess is that the hunting stores in this universe were long since raided.

He reuses them. We've seen him pull them out of dead zombies and used them again and again. I'm sure at some point, he grabbed a crap load of them and has some in stock.
Do they REALLY have to show every aspect of their life? Or can you just assume that that is how it happened.
They don't show them stopping to take a dump, but I am sure they have had a few deuces dropped since the show started.

The debate was whether or not Daryl got infected when he pierced himself with the same arrow he's been shooting zombies with. Someone else wondered why he didn't have more arrows and kept using the same one. I just stated a possibly reason why. Don't know why your panties are in a bunch but it's a pretty logical topic to discuss given the nature of last week's knife incident.

I'm not one to get into pissing matches about this, but it did pique my interest.

He did knock off a few walkers in that episode, and if I'm not mistaken, he just wipes the arrows off with his shirt. I'm sure he has some in stock, I'm just saying it becomes a plot hole if something happens to Shane with the knife.

No bunched panties...just going off of common knowledge of the show....but maybe it's not all that common?

Don't read if you think it is a spoiler...it's not...but it could be if you ONLY watch the show and have never read or seen an interview with the show's creators...this may be news.

    Ready? I'll even shrink it.

In Robert Kirkman's world that he created for this show, everyone that dies turns into a zombie (it's an homage to The Night of the Living Dead zombies, Kirkman's basis for the show).
Even if you die of old age, commit suicide, etc...you will come back as a zombie within 8 hours. That would clear a lot of speculation up...because this has been discussed in numerous places...but it hasn't been on here.

True, but in that world, you will also die if a zombie bites you. What is not as clear is what happens if you get scratched by one or if you get zombie blood into your system some other way (as in what Shane did).

I'm going to guess you aren't a hunter a live in the South. Archery hunting is huge. Go to ANY major retail store that carries any kind of sporting goods and arrows would be easy to come by.

New episode tonight. From AMCTV.com is this episode detail:

I suppose a SPOILER alert could be put on it, although I don't think it's ruining anything.

"Rick sides with Shane on an important decision, causing Dale to worry that the group is losing its humanity. Carl's actions have unintended consequences on the group."

Man, it's clear that the folks at AMC have Walking Dead on a tight, tight budget leash. For example:

...not showing more than half your cast at least once an episode is a classic money-saving move. (Producer: "Sorry, T-Dog, Dale, dude with the crossbow, can't afford you this week...got a lot of zombies to pay for.")

Also, having big gaps between shows within the same season allows the network to pay for production from the same season's ad revenue. And have you noticed how many more ads there are this half season?

As for the epi itself -- by far the best of the season -- do you think the lone zombie in the field Shane kept looking at was (insert name here of the dude he killed while escaping the zombies)?

So Carl's gonna bust his cherry on Beth? Cool.

Otis? Could be. Interesting. I hadn't thought of that.

I know it was far away, but that zombie looked a bit svelte to be Otis. Then again, Otis did get eaten, so I'm not sure how much of him would be left to get up anyway.
