On Talking Dead, one of the guests suggested they have zombies only be able to speak as they are killed, and then only to say what they did in life.

Bam...gunshot to the head..."I was a used car salesman!"...falls over

Maybe the one that got Dale would say "I was a ninja!"

    OK, bear with me here....

To shoot our commercials, my company uses the same company who contracts some more difficult work to the same production company used by The Walking Dead. So, obviously with it being non-shooting season for the show, this film company is looking for work and that's why they're shooting our commercials. My boss and her assistant (both big fans of the show) were talking to some of these production persons last week and they shared some interesting tidbits about the storyline going forward. SPOILERS below include some information about the end of season 2 and some set production information for season 3. Again, these are probably SPOILERS.

    * Shane dies
    * They're working on building a prison or jail-like set where the survivors will live. They couldn't find a habitable old prison to use, so they're forced to build one. Apparently, there will be other survivors holed up there.
    * This new location will be in and around the same area. They went from urban to rural to season 3 being somewhere in between.

    * Jeffrey DeMunn (Dale) was a very good friend of former showrunner Frank Darabont. No idea if that's why he was written out.
    * The zombies who get the close shots spend many hours in the makeup chair, while the ones far away tend to get much less makeup and sometimes wear a mask or just rugged clothes.

That's what I remember right now. I'm trying to get hooked up with the guy our company worked with to maybe more information or a spot on set.

Wouldn't he have been written out earlier in the season if that was the case?

I'm pretty sure Dale was looking at the ground, not ahead. he only lifted his head when he was right upon the cow.

Now the big thing would be to ask, why the zombie wasn't still chewing on the cow when Dale came up.

DeMunn is also a good friend of the director of the episode. I don't remember the guy's name, but he was on Talking Dead Sunday night talking about it.

I know the zombie caught Dale off guard. I know Dale is a 64-year-old man. But...

That walker was stuck in shin-deep mud and barely managed to get one leg out. How could it overpower a living person who's adrenaline is probably pumping something fierce?

Perhaps I'm being too nitpicky at this point. But I've talked to a lot of people who simply find this show awesome and without holes. Of course, these are the people who enjoy serialized dramas such as Terra Nova (RIP) and Falling Skies.

I think the show is still pretty good, but acknowledge that it has a lot of of holes -- and has lost a lot off its fastball.

Thanks for the spoliers...I don't mind knowing stuff ahead of time.
Yes, I also looked for my Christmas presents after my mom went shopping (she caught on and started to keep them at my aunt's place instead)
Good to see they are going along with the comic a bit...

Dale has to be the dumbest member of the cast anyway.

How can he not notice that walker? It isn't like they are quiet. I'm sure the damn thing was making those grunts and groans as he walked up.

And then. . . how about the scene in the town last episode where there wasn't a walker in sight until they broke the window and then a horde of walkers appears. Couldn't they have gotten out on there own? What were they doing, having a meeting?
