Have we seen animals reanimate on this show? That is one of the key differences in many of the zombie movies and stories.I can't think of one in which they rise. Some, zombies won't even eat living animals. They only want people.

I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility that animals could reanimate in this world. However, I dunno. Jost hypothesizing with the rest of ya :D

Haven't seen every episode of the series, but there was a moment during the hunt for Sofia when Daryl and either Shane or Rick cut open a walker to see if there were Sofia chunks in its belly. They found a squirrel or some other small animal, IIRC.

Not sure what to make of that ending.

Not what I expected. A game changer, don't you think?

I still couldn't put all the pieces together after the kid came back, Dr. J had to spell it out for me. Holy fuck. This changes everything.

But at least it looks like they're getting off the farm -- and possibly losing tons of cast members.

    It is.

    And a nice one.

That was an intense ending. The beginning of the show dragged, but damn, I loved the way it ended.

That ending seemed inevitable. So glad they got it over with now. We can move forward.

Maybe somebody who was a more consistent reader of the comics can tell us just how much of that came straight from the books. I know the scene with Carl was definitely in the comic.

It was different in the comic, though. In the comic, Carl shot Shane to keep him from killing his dad. Shane wasn't a zombie. Big difference in shock value.

    That. Was. F**king. Intense!

I don't even know what to say about tonight's episode. I'll comment more when I've thought this through.

    Man. What an episode.
