What about the fencing shown at the beginning of the finale? Isn't it reasonable to think that ...

    1. Herd starts in the ATL, follows helicopter
    2. Wanders aimlessly
    3. Meets up with our crew on the interstate early in this season
    4. Hears stuff and heads toward the farm
    5. Is stopped by the fencing until there are eventually enough of them to bust through
    6. Farmageddon

Yeah. I thought for sure the fencing around the farm would hold them at bay for a while to allow the people to get ready for the attack. I thought wrong.

It's kinda gross when you think about all of those walkers just leaning on that fence and being crushed by the hundreds behind them, yet said walkers just continue like nothing is going on. Ah, zombies.

They opened the episode with a prolonged scene of the walkers eating and THAT is what you found gross?

While it may be a logical assumption that the helicopter was the same one as from the first season ep, could it have not been a different one? After all, not like the zombies cleared out of Atlanta. I get the criticisms, I just think some people are looking for them.

Go easy. He hay have a repressed Who concert in his past.

One of my may problems is it seems the walkers have whatever abilities suit the show at the moment: one time they'll be slow moving, mindless drones that just kind of amble; the next they are chasing people, opening doors, etc.

Pick one or the other and go with that.

The slow-moving mindless drones are the zombies that were on welfare when they were alive. The fast, door-opening zombies were up-by-your-boostrap types.

Somebody brought up the idea that newly-turned walkers could be faster. Maybe that also goes for their strength and mental abilities. They get weaker and dumber as they deteriorate.

Or, maybe Ace is right. :)

Nah, I don't think they make up the zombie rules as they go along. Newly turned walkers are more amble because they're less deteriorated. Plus, if you think of the remaining muscle mass of some, you've got to assume more muscular living people would likely be stronger or quicker zombies than little Sophia. And opening doors? I assume you're talking about Morgan's wife? That might have been some instinct deep inside her mind. I mean, it's not like they're talking or moaning "RIIIIIIICCCKKK."

They were eating what I believe was dog. Poor canine.

And that's probably the only zombie rule that seems to be fluid. If you recall Dawn of the Dead remake, they didn't mess with the dog for some reason. I know it's one way or the other in other zombie mediums.
