I don't consider this a spoiler so here goes..

There is a helicopter in the comic and the explanation for it is somewhat plausible. It also ties in with where it appears the show is headed now.

 

Watching the finale again. One thing that jumps out at me now is this: why didn't they check the other cars on the highway for gas, or see if they could dump the SUV for another car?

 

don't you think they did that when they first got to that highway point? Pretty sure when they were checking for supplies before Sophia got lost, they did that very exact thing

 

I guess it's one of those things we didn't see them doing on-camera.

 

Like reloading and tying Carl to his bed.

 

I think we did, though. Tommy_Dreamer is talking about the very first time they got to the highway point. When that happened, they stopped because the RV overheated. They showed them scouring the cars for parts and gas and everything, unless I'm mistaken.

 

And given how quickly they left the farm they probably didn't have gas cans or a hose to siphon fuel from vehicles.

 

You're probably right. I just remember them looking in cars for stuff like food and water.

 

I saw on Talking Dead that when they show the zombies eating, they really are eating. BBQ. Pulled pork and ribs that have been soaked in red food coloring to make them look bloody.

 

I would totally become a zombie for some ribs.

 

Almost certain I remember Shane going around getting gas from abandoned vehicles.
