What's scary, to me, is in how many other ways (and meaningful disciplines) that delusion must be alive and taking deep, gulping breaths, without a camera to step on it like a cockroach.

Nahh, I don't think it's depressing. Everyone gets shot down at times in their lives. If you're that sucky a singer and choose your time to be on national television, well, you deserve it! I'm gonna miss tonight's stuff. Maybe my buddies will DVR it.

I would totally sing This is My Country just to piss the hell out of everyone who already hates that song because the commercial is SO overplayed. I hum along with it when Doc mutes the commercial just to piss him off already.

In reality, I'd probably sing I Just Don't Feel Like Loving You, Today or Catalyst by Anna Nalick.

I could be wrong, but didn't the early years of "The Simpsons" carry FOX in much the same way?

In terms of giving Fox an identity (especially pre-NFL), absolutely.

In the ratings? No. Nothing like this.

You might remember that Fox tried The Simpsons on Thursdays for a while in an attempt to dent NBC's Cosby-fueled lineup. That didn't work.

Funny. The video for "Sometimes She Cries" was shot in Orange, CT the morning after Warrant opened for Motley Crue in December 1989. Jani Lane announced it as the band began that song. If you look closely in the video, you can see a SNET (Southern New England Telephone) pay phone.

That concert is memorable because one of the guys who drove pounded a six-pack of Bud in his car upon getting to the Hartford Civic Center. He then yakked on the guy in front of him. How we didn't get our asses kicked--and how this guy made it home alive, I smartly went home with someone who wasn't boozing all night--I'll never know.

I changed the thread title. I won't be home for tonight's show, so I won't see it until late...but I'll count on you guys to give the thumbs up/thumbs down for me.

Presumably, that was after "When I Look Into Your Eyes" scraped the top 10.

I remember the summer of Firehouse as the summer my girlfriend and I dedicated "Love Of A Lifetime" to each other. Guess what? It wasn't!!!!

Firehouse was a pretty good band. They had some chops. But you put a hot chick on the cover of your album with a burning house and call yourself Firehouse and no one takes you seriously.

"Fireworks with Firehouse" was not well received, although I thought it was kind of cool.

I think they snuck in the Steelheart song near the end. That did not work at all. I thought a stray pyrotechnic had landed on someone's cajones.
