american idol -- 3/20 -- possible spoilers??

Wow, Oz, you put Jordin low. Didn't y'all kinda think she out-sung Gwen Stefani on that song?

 

Like Simon said, too redundant. You just keep singing the same lines over and over again.

That and there's not a whole lot of notes to hit, so no pressure there because she can add some along the way and make it sound better than the original is. That's the only reason I have her so low, because it takes no thought to sing that song. Degree of difficulty, I suppose. Just thought it to be a safe, mail-it-in selection.

She's good, though, no doubt about that.

 

Chris sligh's tenure on the show ends tonight. He's got talent but he doesn't beat out the worst performer, Singay or whatever the fuck his name is.

I heard someone on the radio say that Melinda looks like Shrek...

I laughed so hard I almost crashed my car. They're referring to her face, not her body...

I think Sanjaya lasts two more weeks. By then people will have lost interest... The show is more entertaining with him on it. His performance (and hair style) had my wife and I laughing hysterically last night...

 

That's because she doesn't have a neck.
Even so, she's head and shoulders better than the rest.

 

And she's got a pretty mouth.

 

jordin remains the only one with the total package: looks, talent and presence. whether or not she wins, she'll have the most success -- videos. top 40 hits, etc.

i still don't get any of the guys at all. they all still suck, imo.

 

I have to root for Gina, because until Idol, she was the assistant in my kids' pediatric dentists' office. Really. That office has signs and pictures of her all over the place.

That said, Melinda is definitely the best singer, although that "who, little ol' me?" face every time she gets a compliment is grating. And Jordin Sparks by a mile beats out Nikko Smith in the category of Best Pro Athlete Spawn on Idol.

I could not agree more about Melinda. Great voice, but the "What? You liked me? REALLY?" act is getting real old, real quick.

 

OK, I thought Gina was the best last night. Not the best on the show, but the best for that show.

I hope Sligh goes. Don't like him. The guy went to Bob Jones University (no interracial dating allowed). What does he say to Jordin, Melinda and Lakisha? Seriously? Unless he has renounced the school and its policies publicly, he can't be an Idol or an idol to anyone.
