At least William Hung got only that one audition, then was shown the way out. If Sanjaya had made only one appearance on the show, then I could see the comparison. But after making it through Hollywood week, Sanjaya's become a whole different sort to beast. And now they can't slay it, because it's up to America's vote.

The difference between William Hung and Sanjaya is that there are people out there (sobbing 13-year-old girls) who actually like the guy...

I don't know that Sanjaya is any worse than some of the other shit that pre-teens are listening to these days...

I remember watching vajayjay in the audition and thinking "wow.. this kid is good" and then seeing him in Hollywood week, I never thought he was bad. Now, I think he's attrocious.

When he made it to the round of 24, I remember wondering if Idol liked the idea of having a East Indian contestant...

Part of the reason he's still there is because he's getting a ton of support from other East Indians, who have virtually no representation in Hollywood...

He'll last another few weeks and finish fifth or sixth and then cut an album that will do respectably, similar to what Kellie Pickler did last year...

I like Kellie Pickler's album, but I usually liked her on the show, so I guess I'm different from most here.

I do NOT, however, like vajayjay on the show. I think if he had energy and wasn't so weird, he'd be ok, but his performances are laughable.

The sad part is I think he was the second best guy behind Blake and was voted off too early considering who else is left - the waste of space Indian kid, the wanna be Justin Timberlake who really doesn't have a good voice, the bald seaman who can hit a high note but sounds shitty in any other range, and even Haley despite my enormous crush on her. I figured Chubby woud have been in until they were all gone.

I see your point. The seaman might win it. He's shitty enough to do it but to be honest, the ONLY marketable talent is on the female side.

Sligh's problem was that he was bad two weeks in a row and he wasn't showing improvement...

I'm not a Blake fan on any level, but I think he is very marketable and I think he'll do far better than whoever wins, since I'm assuming Shrek has it all wrapped up...

haley's going for the McPhee factor -- good to above average singer, but going for sex appeal.
Me? I like the rock-bad-girl factor of Gina.... hard-ass hygienist...

Funny shit on Regis and Kelly a few days back. Doogie was guest hosting for Regis and when talking about Idol said that Doolittle looked like a muppet. Newfound respect for Neil P. Harris right there!
