If the people with the talent keep failing, sanjaya will win this thing.

Good to see Haley take my advice. She looked straight out of Univision tonight.

    Sabado Gigante, anyone?

I saw the first 3-4 while I was getting ready to go to dinner. Dude, I HATED Chris Richardson's performance, and Simon liked it. WTF? And when even Paula won't compliment you (hi, Haley!) you're screwed. I did like that Simon called her out for whoring out. I left right before Jordin though...so I don't know what happened after that.

    I'll catch up on Tivo.

Chris Richardson was awful. So was Phil. Jordin? Ehhhh, fair at best. Loved Melinda, Blake wasn't bad at all.

He just said "you're doing the one thing you can do, which is wear the least amount of clothes you possibly can. You're certainly not going to win this thing with your voice, there are other singers better than you are. So you're having fun." Or something close to that.

    That's exactly what he said.

I missed Melinda and LaKisha, so I can't really comment on the snippets I heard at the end. But of the other six, only Blake stood out. Sanjaya, for his part, at least didn't suck.

Phil and Chris were both worse than Haley. At least her voice didn't crack.

Just finished watching it... yeah, Latin music is a pretty weak theme.

Jordin and Blake were the best.

Melinda has really started to bore the shit out of me. If her choices get any older she'll be singing sea shanties.

Sanjaya was pretty darn good. Go figure. And the kid's got stones singing a song that's mostly in Spanish. Good for him. I was half expecting him to do "Macarena."

    Phil was ok, not great.

Haley wasn't that bad, and they're right, it's not a singer's song. That's probably a good thing for her.

Chris Richardson sucked again, and once again they all loved him. Don't get it. The kid has no range and he was off key for most of the song.

And I realize I said it last week, but I think Lakisha goes. That sucked. She started out the season as a clear finalist, but I think she's been mediocre at best for a solid month now.

I'm starting to think Blake may win this.

Oh, how I miss that show. I would watch that every week, simply for Lion and Spanish Space Ghost. Never fails to crack me up. Too bad I don't get Univision here, dammit.

Bottom three might be Phil, Haley and Chris, who I include simply because he's been bottom three before. He might drop that low again. It sure won't be Sanjaya after the one halfway decent performance he's had in two months.

And I loved Simon's honesty re: Haley's dressing down and the begrudging compliment to Sanjaya.

  11. To me, it's pretty clear that Jordin, Melinda and Blake should be the top three. They are clearly the three most talented and I wouldn't complain if any of them win.
LaKisha is done. She may survive this week, but it's clear to me she is no longer a real contender. Like I said, one breakout performance and a whole lot of nothing since then -- plus she still hasn't figured out what to wear with her figure.
Haley's whoring has obviously worked so far. She won't win with it, but she'll get some votes she wouldn't otherwise (and I wonder about some of the pretty girls who were kicked out earlier...).
Honestly, did Sanjaya cost himself some votes by not being awful this week? Will Vote For the Worst and Howard Stern continue to support him if he isn't the worst week after week? I mean, he clearly bested Haley this week.
I'd say Vajayjay, Ha-leggy or Plump-Kisha should go home this week, but I'll bet it's Phil.

I'm disappointed that nobody sang "Taco-flavored Kisses"
