I just thought the fancy blouse/UPS guy shorts combo was a little weird, is all. She does have the looks and tbe voice, tho.

I hate this theme shit but one thing is for certain, Singay will live to see another week as a contestant. Most unfortunate. The little girl crying sold the audience. I don't know if those were tears of anguish or joy. He's the worst singer but probably the most attractive male. I bet he'd blow his brains out if he woke up and found locks of his hair on his pillow.

I don't watch this show regularly, seriously. But while I was playing Fifa 2007 on my PS2 in the next room I had to come in to watch Singay/Sangay whatever. It was hilarious. When that little girl started crying my wife burst into a laughter that scared the dogs.

Her explaination was the girl forgot to take her medication. Classic TV. God Bless America.

She wouldn't influence any voting for Sanjaya, they kept showing her all night, not just during his disaster.

They showed the girl the most during Sanjaya's set. I think they showed her again during Melinda and then obviously, they brought her on the stage...

I don't care how old she was, it was pathetic and it wouldn't surprise me for a second if she was planted there...

After the show, I chatted with Idol’s newest superstar, the crying girl, Ashley Ferl, aged 13, from Riverside. For some long minutes after the show, Ashley remained in a state of inconsolable sobbing, unable to choke out a single word. However, through an interpreter (her mother) we were eventually able to learn some facts about the young superstar.

The family, I was told, obtained tickets on a website to attend a taping of â€œSmarter Than a 5th Graderâ€ a day passage that included not just the taping of the show itself, but also the dress rehearsal of either â€œGraderâ€ or â€œIdol.â€ The fates were kind, and the mother and daughter found their way to the â€œIdolâ€ rehearsal, where Ashley’s waterworks began. Her prowess was quickly brought to the attention of â€œIdolâ€ producers who summoned the clan to a ringside seat of honor at the final taping.

Her powers of speech slowly returning, Ashley revealed that while she was on stage she had been thinking that â€œthis was the coolest thing ever.â€ Asked whom she was supporting in the competition she named â€œSanjaya, Melinda, Gina and Jordinâ€ as her picks, refusing to narrow her vote down to a single choice. All my journalistic powers of persuasion, cajoling, bullying and insistence that on her vote might turn the entire competition, that â€œListen to reason, young Ferl, there can’t be four American Idols,â€ would not convince her to name a single favorite. To my every argument, she would only repeat her mantra, â€œAll Four: Sanjaya, Melinda, Gina and Jordin.â€ And so the race begins in earnest, with tears at every step of the way.
