Thanks, ifilus. At least I got to see something, even after the fact, without the drama of not knowing who won yet.

Just curious, did that moment make David Hasselhoff cry? :D

Don't know about The Hoff...but this one was most certainly bawling away, again:

Now that was funny. A fitting end to Sanjaya's 15 minutes. And forgive me, and I'm hoping I'm wrong, but Blake may have to get used to getting the keys to a Mustang, and retrieving it for a tip, as opposed to getting it as a reward.

I've come on here raving about the finale show the past two seasons -- not this year.

    Where were the cool surprises??

Leaving the Kodak early on to go to Stefani? Poor choice.

Mediocre show. Idol has a lot of work to do to get back to where it was.

i'll never know if they do get it "back." i'm in the one-and-done club. i do not appreciate being played.

No, it made him hungry. He left early to go get a burger.

As for the Clarkson-Underwood debate, it is a classic apples vs. oranges arguement. They are both smokin' hot and outstanding singers but they are two different styles and practically impossible to compare. I thought Kelly was strong in her two performances and I have always liked the strength of Carrie's voice so those two were the high point of the show.

Two things are certain: both of them will make tons of money and no guy on this board would ever turn them away at 2 a.m. (or any time of the day or night).

I liked Taylor's song. He has always been about the performance and not necessarily the song.

The performances by Tony Bennett and Bette Midler were shocking. It is hard to see Bennett sing like that (though I guess at his age it was amazing he could do that well) while Midler was just a let down (even though she sang one of my favorite songs).

Good season. Like 24, it wasn't its best but it still beats most TV.

The final result was the most predictable and boring (lacking suspense) in my opinion. I still think it is a curse to win American Idol (Taylor Hicks, Fantasia and Rueben Studdard could attest to that).
However, Canadian Idol is better at predicting that the winner will have success. Kalan Porter, Eva Avila and Melissa O'Neill have been successful. The only Idol that didn't get that far was Ryan Malcolm.

FYI: Canadian Idol starts June 5th on CTV.

Man, that Kelly Clarkson ("Never Again") was some kind of pissed at her ex, a guy in some band I haven't heard of before. You think he'll write a response song titled "Why It's Over".

    "She doesn't whine
    She's really fine
She doesn't write songs about me
    She's just better than you"

    This just in:

Meme Roth of National Action Against Obesity says Jordin Sparks, the 17 year old winner of this year's American Idol and daughter of former NFL cornerback Phillippi Sparks, sends a bad message to a society in the midst of child obesity crisis.
"When I look at Jordin what I see is heart disease," Roth says. "I see diabetes, I see high cholesterol."
