Couple things.
My wife's quote of the night "Paula needs a fucking seatbelt." Amen.
The white girls suck. Very plain. Very drab. Very McPheeish (sorry, still bitter about last year, she was so average). Why is it that they can never find a Joss Stone type, a white girl who can bring it?
Melinda, LaKeisha, Stephanie and Jordin. They're the best four.
Who's gone? An(tonedeaf)ella and maybe the skinny chick who sang the Dixie Chicks.

 

I think those are the two weakest girls.

Guys side: I hope it's Sanjaya and anyone else not named Sligh, Blake, Richardson or Jared.

 

All the guys suck on this show except for Sundance, but I suspect he's a one-trick pony.

Melinda Doolittle is the most talented singer in this group. No one else comes close.

 

Isn't it amazing how in one week it's gone from "Lakisha is by far the best singer" to "Melinda has this thing wrapped up."
It's pretty clear to me those two have the two best voices on the show, but I wonder how it will play out.
Sabrina is absolutely gorgeous and can really sing. I could see her winning.
How could anyone not love Jordin? She's definitely got the personality going for her.
I think the winner is any of those four or Blake. He's the most all-around talented person on the show.
If the winner isn't Lakisha or Melinda, I think it's entirely because they aren't as attractive as Antonella (who should be seen and not heard), Alaina, Sabrina, Haley, whatever guy you girls like (it's Jared, right?).
I'd buy a CD with Blake singing, beatboxing, scatting, etc., today. I can also say I'd pay to hear Lakisha or Melinda, possibly Sabrina or Jordin. Can't say that for anyone else.

 

I might pay to see Chris Richardson.

Oh wait, I've already seen that ... when he was called Justin Timberlake.

I don't get all the love I see for Blake. Just doesn't do it for me. Of course, I'm the one who thinks Sundance is the sleeper of the guys. :-[

I hope Sideshow Bob/Jack Osborne goes far... Melinda and LaKisha are by far the best of the girls...

 

I'm still gonna give Lakisha the edge over Melinda. Here's why: Melinda tries... and succeeds at singing well. Lakisha doesn't even have to try. The notes just flow out of her.

3. Leslie - It was different - I like the scatting.
4. Stephanie - Very Beyonce.
5. Jordin - Getting choked up cost her pitch.
6. Sloan - Screamed it.
7. Haley - My mind wandered during the song.
8. Gina - Tends to be sharp.
9. Alaina
10. Antonella - And yet, she will survive.
