American Idol

Do the 12 that make the cut tonight become part of the post-show Tour around the country? If so, can't imagine Antonella, Sanjaya and about 3-4 other guys being on stage several times a week. Yeesh.

Do you guys think that they're letting the fans vote way to early during this stage of the show?

 

Nope. Judges go to the 24, amurica after that... seems right to me...

 

Sanjaya may be the 1st constestant to step down. He looks like he knows he does not belong on the show.

 

J. Hudson did not lose to Clay Aiken, because Clay Aiken did not win. Ruben Studdard did. And also because Hudson was on in the third year, when Fantasia Barrino won.

 

He would not be the first contestant to step down... Someone stepped down after making the top 12 either last year or the year before... I don't think he'll quit though... He'll be voted off today or sometime in the very near future...

 

Top 12 are finalists and are on the record; top 10 go on tour.

 

Just watched it on TiVo. Here's a few of my thoughts.

Death to Sundance Head. Maybe it's cuz I'm a Pearl Jam fan but to see the bubble gum idiot mangle the song like that just really pissed me off from the first few notes. What a crappy, crappy performance. Just singing/yelling the words in a bubble gum way. I guess you could give him credit for trying but he had no business singing that song and he went from lukewarm in my book to utter disgust.

Porn girl is going to be in the top 4 because America is voting and America likes drama and controversy and sex. At that point it will be truly revealed that American Idol has a problem on its hands ... a problem it should have realized when the no-talent Michael McDonald wannabe won last year.

Echoing what's been said on here: Melinda and Lakisha are easily the most talented. Hope one of them doesn't fall to porn girl.

 

By merits from Tue and Wed, Sanjaya, Brandon, Antonella and Haley should go.

But Jared will go instead of Sanjaya and.... someone really good from the girls' will go instead of Ms. Wet Cameltoe.

 

Since the race element has already been brought up -- can someone explain to me why it is that Frenchie Davis was booted for posing topless, but Antonella is still on the show? Is it because Frenchie got paid and Antonella didn't?

I hope that's the reason, because we have an issue of a heavy-set black woman getting kicked off for being topless, but a skinny white chick staying despite pictures of her going down on a guy??

IJAG will now be very sad. I'm watching, but can't listen. If anyone says anything interesting.. totally post it because I can't hear the show!
