I LOVED the recap of Blake's performance. I wasn't that impressed with the women during auditions, but I like the girl from Naperville, IL. She's spunky and I like it. She's the chick who auditioned before (last year?) and made it to Hollywood but got cut after a day or two.

Sabrina Sloan -- wow. Somebody finally shook the cobwebs out of this competition.

Charter in my area went out for the first five girls. I'd get 10 seconds, and then it would go out and I'd get it back and then it'd go out again. This is aggravating!

Melinda Doolittle could be my favorite in the females right now.

Not on here yet, but she was impressive in earlier rounds. Both backup singers will make the top 10 overall.

She was mine already, and while she still is, LaKisha Jones knocked it out to finish the show. I would be more than happy to see either one win it. Or the other backup singer, Brandon Rogers.

I don't think there's a single guy who belongs with the top half dozen girls. The guys, by and large, wimped out and tried not to screw up. At least half the women really went for it, making it an infinitely livelier night.

Lakisha was sooooo much better than everyone else it was not even funny. Simon nailed it when he said something to the effect of that 23 other people should book their plane tickets right now.

Guaranteed that Simon will declare about 7-8 more people as "the singer to beat" before we're even down to the final six. He does it every year.

There was a huge, HUGE difference between the black girls and the white girls. It wasn't even close. LaKisha blew it out of the water, but the other three or four weren't that far behind.

I think having an equal number of men and women absolutely stinks. It should be the best however many, regardless of gender.

    ONCE AGAIN BOOTS WAS RIGHT!
I couldn't recall Lakisha's name, but I said a while back she was the best talent in the Idol chase. Her rendition of "I'm not going" proved it. She is a star. Melinda Doolittle is second but she too has star power. The 17 year-old, I think her name is Jordin, is third. The rest, including all of the men, should go home.
I don't want to get racial but the white talent is non existent EXCEPT the young lady, and I don't recall her name, who bombed out last year after forgetting the words to her song. I would buy her CD.
The guys can forget it. The guy who dropped out of the competition last year intrigues me but compared to the girls, he's behind them.
Like I said earlier, boots has a musical background. I have talent and can spot talent. Lakisha wowed me before and I think the judges know she's the best. Simon called it right. He said she dropped the gauntlet. I can't see anyone challenging her and the look in the girl's eyes showed that he was telling the truth.

That song was in her wheelhouse.

Let's see how she does with Thank God I'm A Country Boy in John Denver week.
