So can I call her curvy?

I feel a little guilty for not thinking she's all that and bag of Doritos. Sometimes she's very funny, sometimes she wanders into territory that makes me uncomfortable. I'm not gonna take one for the Daisy League Softball League in the name of feminism, so I like what I like of her comedy then strike up what I don't to personal preferences and excuse myself from being a dissenting voice (most of the time.)

The whole "I'm such a beast" shtick gets old. I know she's not a size zero, but she is very pretty and she knows it. Take the Annie Leibovitz picture. First of all, it's va-voomish and funny at the same time. She's provocatively dressed, or rather undressed, and yet she's sitting in a way guaranteed to make her stomach pooch out and give her rolls. Her expression, the coffee cup, the whole thing is goofy and funny. If I were a straight man or a gay woman, I'd probably love that picture.

A friend wrote a response to Janeane Garafolo's comedy many years ago and I think it applies today. To wit, she said when people like Garafolo (and by extension Schumer) talk about being unattractive, it's the comedy equivalent to the cheerleader who stretches out at her desk and wails, "I'm so fat!" If she's right, where does that leave people who really did lose the cosmetic genetic lottery?

Really? Facially, although by no means unattractive, I don't think she's classically "pretty" at all. (Ugh. I hate being in this position, judging someone's attractiveness.) I think that she presents herself well and has a great personality.

Yeah, I wouldn't call her "very pretty," but she's not unattractive -- especially with that bangin' personality! Now allow to step off this slippery slope.

"Pretty" is subjective. And not to derail the conversation further, but sometimes I look at the beauty du jour and think, "Hunh? She's okay." Chocolate, vanilla, tomayto, tomahto...

LOL. The media really does love to fawn over certain celebrities:
