    I dunno Guy, it is a journalists' board, so go figure -- there are opinions here, and not all think a 17-child family is completely rational. I don't think anyone is "offended" per se, just debating the concept of such a brood. It's a discussion; I don't think any of us think the middle four need to be put up for adoption or wish ill will on the family.

    To me, this story sounds more about the parents than the kids. I don't doubt that they love every one of them but I find it hard to believe that at some point this didn't turn into some kind of race or something. I hope these kids don't wake up at age 25 and wonder what their identity in life is other than being No. 8 or whatever in the roster. I hope that homeschooling isn't denying them a chance to make friends outside the house, to sing in a school play, to miss a tackle in a Friday night football game.
