Listening to sports radioheads today in Chicago I learned two things: 1) They love Lou as much as they hated Dusty 2) They can't get rid of Prior and Wood fast enough.

 

This week's long-distance dedication comes from a message board poster. He writes: "Dear Casey: My name is BYH and I spend 23 hours, 38 minutes and 8 seconds a day on a message board called sportsjournalists.com. It's a place for sports writers to talk about pop culture, sports and hot female celebrities they'll never screw. One of the regular posters there is a guy named Armchair_QB. I don't know much about him other than he loves the Chicago Cubs so much it hurts. Every year, the Cubs break his heart. Whenever a pitcher gets hurt, or Neifi Perez makes 23 consecutive starts, or Dusty Baker sets the game of baseball back 100 years with his managerial skills, Armchair_QB comes on and curses and complains and says he hates this fucking team, but I know he doesn't. I know he loves the Cubs and that a World Series win by the Cubs would fill his heart with so much joy it would explode and kill him instaneously. When that happens I will dedicate Ironic to him. But as for now--with Kerry Wood getting hurt leaving a hot tub and Mark Prior bruising his vagina doing pull-ups--I choose to dedicate another song to him: Whitesnake's Here I Go Again.
