As I said, I wasn't complaining about it at all...just thought it was interesting because every game I've covered has had it.

 

Now, I know who has been stealing my bought-and-paid-for press box food!

There was a press box regular on the beat I used to be on who showed up 45 minutes before the game only to find that the free press box food was gone. He was livid and made a scene. I was so embarrassed for him.

I always thought free press box food was unnecessary. Nice, but not needed.

 

Guess it depends on how good the team is, doesn't it?

 

And 30 minutes set aside for nap time in the middle of the third quarter ...

I heard somewhere that Georgia Tech is charging this fall, as well.

 

It was a big deal to me back in the day. During months with two or three good beats going the Athletic Dept. supplied most of my diet.
