And what you are not getting is that part of the reason they didn't close it out was because Leyland made bad decisions in that ninth inning.

But hey, keep on leaning on personal attacks because your actual posts are so ridiculously flawed. Speaks volumes about you.

I finally get around to this thread because I covered that series. And I find dueling d-bags. You could have asked me to guess which posters were involved and, well, that wouldn't have been a contest.

Anyway, my favorite part of that series was a quote from Mark Lemke. The Braves brought in Bruce Dal Canton or something (a Niekro?) to throw knuckleballs in batting practice. A group asked Lemke if that kind of thing helped.

"Well, not really," he said (paraphrasing a bit because it was a long time ago). "We could take BP off Wakefield and it wouldn't help. If his knuckleball is on, we're not going to hit it."

Fun series to cover. Cabrera played in Richmond that season so it was a big deal here. I don't recall Bream being with the team at all, but that's not to say he wasn't.

Braves were much better to deal with than the Pirates. Jose Lind makes my Top 5 Pricks list.

One of my favorite oop trademarks: closing his multi-page temper tantrums by accusing someone ELSE of being childish. Nearly every damn time, and funny as hell each time. And I've no idea where this Martin guy came from, but he and oop were made for each other, two pricks in a pod.

Ah. We're to the part of the program where the douchebags stream in from other places to throw in their two cents.

All you have, though, is your insistence that Drabek should not have started the 9th inning, based solely on hindsight, regardless of how much you want to insist your Saigon Kick poster knows YOU knew, right then.

I asked you before -- if not Drabek, and not Belinda, then who? Walk? Leyland? Bud Selig? You?

Feel free not to answer. Specifics are beyond you.

Zag has earned it time and again. Even you know that.

Too bad neither of you can learn from Moddy's example. He didn't like what was going on and took his shot at Martin and I, but he also tried to move the thread forward. You? Nothing but an attack on another poster.

Jump on me al you like, but I've been discussing the topic on this thread, something you haven't done at all.

Discussing it poorly. You left out a word.

And it took six pages to get a pic of Leyland with a cig? Come on, man!

I've answered the question repeatedly and with specifics. You just aren't bothering to read. You'd rather make prick jokes. What's next? Are you going to start talking about my mother?

I was watching the game with a large group and we all thought Drabek was done as it was happening. He was lucky to get through the eighth inning with the 2-0 lead intact. The fact that Drabek failed to retire another batter also backs up my point.

One more time and perhaps you will pay attention. If Leyland was going to use Belinda, he should have done it to start the inning. Once he decided to try to use Drabek and that failed, he would have been better off turning to Walk.

He failed to retire another batter because ... Lind didn't field the grounder!

You're approaching maximum density here. At least you finally got to saying he should have brought in Walk. If you mentioned that at all before, it must have been lost within the other layers of sewage you are spewing.

Poorly? This from the guy relying on childish insults and flawed logic?

Please, tell me again how much I hate Jim Leyland for being surly.

I'm sorry. Now you've moved on to saying talking about blame after a game is wrong. Never mind that assigning blame is what the thread was about from the start. You do realize that was the thread topic, right? Van Slyke wants to put it on Bonds and I think there is plenty to go around -- including Leyland, Belinda and Lind.

No, you finally bothered to read one of my posts where I said he should have brought in Walk, I brought that option up much earlier in the thread.

Drabek also gave up a double to Pendleton to lead off the inning. I guess that was Lind's fault, too.

(Funny how now you are assigning blame when it suits you.)
