Here is the problem byh, I merely stated that I didn't like the beastie boys. I'm hammered for that.
I point out that their music was geared for white america, no one acknowledges the truth about that except Oz.
I got a one guy calling me a racist. Another guy calling me a moron and another guy trying to instigate me into free-for-all name calling.
All I say is read the threads.
I called no one a name. I used a non PC term to describe the beastie boys, for which I not only apologized for doing, I also apologized after.
When someone asks me to define a black club and a mixed club, I know that its to try and pick a verbal fight. Those terms aren't derogatory and I'm pretty sure nearly everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about.

 

On a road trip (for pleasure and to pay respect, not business) last weekend, was listening to local radio and the DJ asked "when did Bono start to look like Gedy Lee?"

He then said Bono doesn't quite look like "a troll with bulimia." But the resemblance is there.

You are well within your rights to dislike the Beastie Boys. No one would have said a peep about that. However, you then proceeded to list reasons why they should not be in the Rock and Roll HOF. And each of these reasons was either a factual inaccuracy, or an opinion based on a factual inaccuracy. Your use of the term "wigger" just made things worse for you.

Do you not get that an apology doesn't work in all cases? Including for the terms "wigger" and "fudge packer," both of which you've used in the past week.

I don't agree. I said I didn't like them and this place went nuts. White america loved them. I love music which is why I know about Afrikka Bambaata and his contribution to hip hop. Many here lost it and acted very stupidly about who he was and I don't think many here still know much about him.
I used non PC terms. What I wrote is not any worse than what some of the words others have used here. The difference is, people jump on my words. It's not that they're hurt. It's because I said them. I will not go into who said what because it's not worth the discussion.
Bottom line is that several people, and I'm not naming names, went into name calling and other accusations. I didn't call anyone a name. I didn't make any accusations.
This thread went a lot longer than it should have.
