  5. I haven't seen much direction or improvement made in St. Louis in a long time. Paper just seems to wander. Wasn't much planning involved in post-season coverage in recent years, either.
    Might be a great guy but as far as a sports editor, I'd say non-entity would be a better term.
    He offered no direction, and it showed.

    It will generate a ton of interest, that's for sure.
    I'm not the biggest fan of St. Louis, but it has a lot of redeeming qualities and the paper could be very, very good with the right people.

    any sports section that won't send its beat writers to cover their teams at their respective media days because of "budget concerns" when the paper has a profit margin of just over 30 percent ain't never gonna be worth spit.

    As mentioned on the Houston thread, Carlton Thompson was promoted to new sports editor at the Houston Chronicle.
