Hey, you need someone to fill Barry Melrose's shoes. And with a name like Pierre Lebrun, he has to be good. :)

How dare you interrupt Jill's celebration with news about some french douchebag. :D

    Congratulations, all.

Someone should change the subject line. A lot of people are probably like me and didn't realize the thread contains news on multiple hires. I accidentally clicked on it and realized it wasn't just about the person it was created about. I stopped checking it after the first day it appeared.

    Running print-to-Web hiring thread?

Anyway, congratulations, Jill. You earned it.

The Yankee quotient clearly does not realize it, but the LeBrun hiring is huge in hockey terms. He made himself the go-to NHL beat guy while with Canadian Press.
Unfortunately, he will still reside in Toronto, which means the liver counts of local hockey scribes will not improve by subtraction.

You can be sure that IJAG won't be reporting that sexual harassment stuff at the WWL. She'll be grading it.

Would you grade sexual harassment on the curve?

I'm late to the congratulation party. I'd like to blame it on my power being out for a while after that nasty storm in Chicago. But it more likely is because I'm intermittent on running threads. And being an insensitive bastard.

So congratulations, Jill. And Pierre, too, if you're around. We welcome Canuckistanis in these parts.
