Dirty little secret about high-level sports: Players could give a fuck about crowds.

They have a student section, right?

If you guys think the atmosphere at a Wizards game compared with a home game at Virginia Tech, or hell even VCU, are the same, then I am going to disagree with that all day long.

Being a college basketball star does seem like a tough life.

Exactly. And it's not the worker's call. It's the owners' call.

Which has zero to do whether a kid should be forced to stay in school or not.

Is that what we are talking about now?

    Wrong, it's collective bargaining call.

Here's the reality, 93D, because we've had this discussion many times before. You want these kids to stay in school longer so that your college basketball viewing experience can be improved.

You think that there is more "pressure" in college basketball than in the NBA. Because meanie college kids wave big Dick Vitale heads behind the basket when you shoot free throws. And make up chants about your home town or hair.

That is, excuse my language, fucking insane.

No, JC, keeping a kid in school is a business decision made by the NBA.

I think at least one year of college ball prepares them better for playing in the playoffs, when all NBA home games have crowds that are interested in the enitre game.

    Of course.

And it seems David Stern agrees with this.
