Not that Mr. Cruise would know anything about it.

This broadcasting team is FANTASTIC, and having Bonnie Bernstein on the sidelines is icing on the cake. What a damn shame they're only working together once.

By the way, when watching MNF games the rest way, play this game: Take a drink every time Mike Tirico starts one of his calls with "Aaaaaaaaand..." You'll be wasted by halftime. He's trying so hard to come across as laid back and smooth that he's developed an obnoxious habit in the process.

Agreed, a great announcing team. Imagine that: A solid announcer, two analysts who know the GAME and don't try to get cute and fancy. Just announce the game, provide some solid analysis. Pretty simple.

Why, oh WHY couldn't have this crew broadcast the Vikings game instead of the so-called 'first string' team.

    Why!?

I'm a big fan of Jaws and the work he does. BTW, where did he go to college?

Nessler: The Raiders are going to take a timeout here, They do NOT want to be shut out in their home opener.

Vermeil: Well then they better kick a field goal.

    OUCH.

By the way, love Schottenheimer to his defense on camera before the last play: "Do NOT let them get in the fucking end zone."

I'm just glad ESPN let Jaws out of that little room at NFL Films where he's breaking down plays.

If ESPN wants football fans to watch their MNF broadcasts, make Nessler, Vermeil and Jaws the PbP team, with a studio team of Fred Hickman, Tom Jackson, Steve Young and Michael Wilbon. It would be entertaining, professional and it would be about football.

I LOVED listening to Nessler, Jaws and Vermeil. Best announcing team I have heard in a long time.

HEY! Why do you want to palm off the blithering idiots on us West Coast folks? We can appreciate good broadcasting and analysis as well as the rest of the country.

I agree on the alternate crew.

There's something about Vermeil... I think it's that warmth I posted about a few weeks ago.
