I heard the Beaver County (Pa.) Times here near Pittsburgh had another round of layoffs Monday, which included at least one writer from the sports staff.

The layoffs just never stop.

 

Good for the executive editor.
This company is a disgrace. I can't imagine anybody wanting to work there if this is indeed the way they are informing people.
P-D Staff. Do the right thing. Quit in protest. Do so now.
Make the management fucks put out the paper.

 

I call bullshit. "It's a girl!" Oh, bullshit.

 

On the other hand, no one was surprised when she forced out the longtime managing editor, or that the new managing editor "was a girl."

Hmmm. Some names I expected to see weren't given the axe. Good for them. Still crappy for those who did, though.

I revoke my bullshit call on the "girl" grumbling. Seems they were right. Clearly, the EE is a girl. A woman would've handled this differently than a "girl."

 

Man...and I grew up wanting to work there.

Sigh.
