In all seriousness, through my own digging around the Internet, I was able to discern USA Voice has to be affiliated with this http://www.askamerica.org/ Their site says; Welcome to Ask America! We have developed a revolutionary way for companies to conduct market research. Traditionally companies spent thousands or even millions of dollars researching new products and services. Conducting focus groups and surveying consumers in numerous markets throughout the country is an especially time consuming endeavor, taking months to complete. Ask America allows companies to achieve the same results in just days or even hours at a only a fraction of the cost. This is accomplished by conducting online focus groups, utilizing Ask America's database of over 100,000 survey takers (this number is expected to climb to 1,000,000 internationally by the end of 2006). Prior to launching a new product line, contemplate your company's possibilities. Make the best choice and give your next launch the maximum chance for success - Ask America! Like USA Voice, Ask America has also registered many other domains like http://www.ask-america-updates.com/ which corresponds with http://www.usavoice-updates.com/ Note how the sites are identical. Somehow, given how this survey site, Ask America, brags its database will climb from 100,000 to 1 million this year, they must be doing it with USA Voice. My guess is the "journalists" will write stories for the surveys, somehow.
:-X I'm one of the morons who didn't think to Google these guys before I sent in my information. Although it smelled funny, I didn't trust my senses and gave them my info... telephone, email, mailing, etc... does anyone know who I should contact to report these people in a last-ditch effort to protect myself? or have I just screwed myself over? thanks
From USA Voice's Web site: <<Welcome to USA Voice. With an official launching date of July 31st, 2006, USA Voice is poised to become the largest peer-to-peer news organization in the world.> Wasn't the start date originally July 4? I guess we have to wait another few weeks for the new CNN to debut.
I took klaas up on his simple google search and found this : http://easybackgroundchecked.com/klaasdevriesjr.htm the original article at the bottom of above link can be found here, it was copied exactly : http://express-press-release.com/17/Les%20Henderson%20and%20Klaas%20DeVries%20Jr.%20the%20biggest%20internet%20scam%20artists%20today.php not exactly as he put it, but I'll leave any decisions up to you.
Somehow, you know Sandy is involved. No idea why this was resurrected, but a great thread nonetheless.
Have you looked at the USAVoice site lately? Seems they have just one news reporter who is everywhere at once and also doubles up doing some sports reporting as well. They might have a couple of "sports writers" but I didn't take time to read anything on the site, except for some headlines and bylines.
