    No winners in Milwaukee?

If I'm not mistaken, that's usually the category with the fewest number of papers. Congrats to Palm Beach though, they are almost always the best in this group and deservedly so.

No Milwaukee winners in the 100,000-250,000 category, no less. Didn't they used to be in the bigger category or am I imagining that?

Conspiracy theorists are taking a beating this year.

  4. So I didn't win, and the industry still sucks.

Now I feel double worse about my job.

Yep. Because papers everywhere now are going to post that list with a note that says "YOUR NAME AIN'T ON HERE? THEN GET THE HELL OUT."

Even if they forgot to send in their entries.

  7. Just found out I won my first APSE the day after we got our fourth section award under three editors. Been a good couple days after a couple real shitty ones. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little giddy today.

Yay, more Oregon family! Congrats to Adam Jude! Way to represent the RG this year ... Jude, Moseley and Schroeder! Nice work, Eugene.

Also, many kudos to John Canzano and Rachel Bachman, two Oregonian folks who do great work day in and day out.

Finally, a big congrats to Sandy Ringer at the Seattle Times!
