that movie is such an odd duck. The casting, who directed it, who wrote it.

Why not give the poverty stricken kid with an addict mom the benefit of the doubt? Because he was a handsomely paid athlete?

No one disputes he was told he was being adopted, imagine in your mind what that signifies?

Now imagine you discover you were lied to and not only did you not get adopted, you actually signed over all of your legal rights through an inside job by the very people well only people you trusted.

It’s not about whether it was $2 or $2M, it’s about it was his rights and that was stolen from him.

I am giving him the benefit of the doubt. No matter what his money should’ve been placed in a trust. But I’m also open to the possibility that other things have happened independent of that.

Not looking good to the public is a very different standard than not deserving the money that was earned off your talents and on your story.

It’s possible to have your stuff stolen and also be charged with trying to stealing it back. Ask O.J.

“The idea that the Tuohys have ever sought to profit off Mr. Oher is not only offensive, it is transparently ridiculous.“

Are the Tuohys close, personal friends of yours?

So just because you’re rich, you’re immune from taking advantage of someone?

Just like someone with minority friends is never a racist?

it’s all deflection. They lied and profited from him.

Why in the world would she do that, or be expected to?

Because it’s the typical easy, low-stakes debate Americans love to have over talking about things that actually matter but require critical thinking.
