No Hoops, i don't see the difference. I think you took exception to what I said, but it's basically the same thing.

I'm thinking is the usage of the word 'whore' that is the issue. But I could be wrong.

nah, has nothing to do with the word "whore"

one says they prefer the ajc's coverage and states why, which is perfectly understandable. the  main issue, as i see it with ss's post is something i've been saying about the abh (rip dn) for years and years and years -- it lacks a true voice. of course, that's to be expected when compared to a major metro who has full-time columnists against a 30k circ paper which busts its ass just to cover the nuts and bolts, but usually has the same guy who is begging a empty-headed, full-walleted publisher with a napoleon complex to send people to the games that is writing the columns -- splitting two more than full-time jobs... but still, it lacks a voice and a consistent voice. and yeah, the 30k that pays like shit doesn't quite have the same kind of columnist that one of the biggest papers in the country has. that's for sure. but the b-h and macon more than hold their own on news and have for some time.

the other makes a blanket (and not necessarily correct) statement with nothing to back it up

but other than that, no real difference

Son and I'm using the term very loosely, you need to grow up and stop being a jack ass. You didn't like the way I viewed the situation, which is your choice, but SS said the same thing I said, he just used a different tone. If you can't figure that out, then your are truly lost.
Don't take it personally. Everyone gets lost now and then.

i think the worst insult you could call me is your son -- i wouldn't wish that shit on anyone

and add to that, it's an insult to my father

Holy fuck, Hoops does know of whom he speaks! If you had said anything else, I wouldn't have given it a second thought. But since you used *that exact phrase* ... damn, dude. Yep. That's all I gotta say.

    Good work, Hoops. ;D

I thinks ABH does a pretty good job given the lack of support from Billy Morris. Think Weiser has pretty much "owned" the beat against the AJC's last two UGA reporters. Nothing fancy about either one of them. ABH could do a better job, but has anyone here ever worked for Morris? There might not be a worse chain in America.
