If you're a big Carolina fan, Columbia shouldn't matter. Carolina is in Chapel Hill, right? :)

Seriously, though: If you polled people in 48 states (excluding the Carolinas) and asked them which one they associate with "Carolina," North would win overwhelmingly.

I don't care what other people say. I'm in South Carolina. I say Carolina.

    GO GAMECOCKS!!!

It's a fact that Andy is leaving, but until the ABH posts the job there isn't a whole lot to add to what's already been posted.

I believe an offer was made to someone who had recently left, so they might be waiting on his decision.

Thanks John. I had the pleasure of getting to know Andy back when he was doing Tampa Bay Bucs coverage for the Charlotte Sun and new he had a bright future. If indeed he's in the situation where he can take some time off to be Mr. Mom I envy him, being a father myself.

He does leave some big shoes to fill from what I hear and from what I've read on here. Saw a handful of his sections and they looked great.

My friend there tells me a hire has been made. He won't tell me who, but it sounds internal. Anybody know?

Not sure if I can say, so I won't. But it's a good move for the ABH and I'm happy for my buddy that got the job. He's come a long way since writing about the war for independence in ... 1836, was it?

You nailed it, my friend. Good move. I wish him the best of luck. And if anybody asks, they're going to have to come and take it from you.

Outstanding. A class act, and always helpful to this cub when I dealt with him a few years back.
