re Philosophy: God, some of that stuff smells so good, hard to believe it's not edible.

But just a warning....no matter how amazing the Hot Cocoa bubble bath smells when you pour it in the water, it still looks like someone had diarrhea in the tub. Seems only right to mention it here.

Can't say enough good things about Bliss...great stuff. Same for Fresh.

I have Mimosa body wash/shampoo/bubble bath from Philosophy. Love it.

Bumble & Bumble's cocoa conditioner and shampoo are the best. But not the cheapest.

Philosophy Raspberry Sherbert and Sugar Cookie are also very good.

Mira - you must not be in journalism ... haha..... Was just checking out some of the prices on La Mer. Wow. Maybe one day.

I will put a vote in for the Instant Manicure. Ever since those came out, that's what I use instead of polish. The pedicure strips last for over a month.

La Mer? An ounce of that costs a fortune. A friend uses it as an all-over body cream -- that's thousands of dollars per foot -- but she's married to a multimillionaire.
Kavi products are excellent if you have skin allergies. And Sephora makes a good, inexpensive eye-makeup remover. It's the Sephora brand, blue bottle.

For those looking to organize a shopping trip, why not coincide it with the AWSM convention in Feb., in Miami?

La Mer makes an awesome lip balm--around $40, lasts forever, tastes like something vaguely minty. A nice gift.

But still not as good as Kiehls, $5.50 a tube with no taste.

I would go to the AWSM convention in a heartbeat if I didn't cover a college basketball beat. And in Florida? Dang, I wish I could go.

I use La Mer sparingly and rotate moisturizers. Hope in a Jar by Philosophy rocks. A little goes a long way.

Anyone else have reactions from certain shampoos? My scalp was breaking out when using Revlon stuff but I switched over to Matrix Volumizing and it's fine now.

I used to get some bad reaction from Aveda shampoo and conditioner. The Sap Moss line, in particular. I use Bumble & Bumble cocoa and seaweed lines, and Rusk sunflower/grapefruit now.

I have to have about three shampoos at a time that I rotate through. if I wash two days in a row with the same shampoo, it builds up something fierce and my hair's all heavy and gross.
