Oh, and duh, it's Spa Week!

Check out www.spaweek.org to see participating locations in your area that are offering $50 sample treatments.

See, I only feel obligated to buy products if I elect to have an unpaid service, like at a department store makeup counter. I usually don't buy products after other spa treatments, because I feel like I've paid for the service and purchasing product is not included in the arrangement.

This says nothing of the temptation, however. :) If you want to be frugal, I'd suggest only replacing an item in your routine that you're unhappy with, like cleanser or scrub.

I have a $75 Wayspa gift certificate that was a Christmas present, so I won't feel bad dropping a bit of real cash on the joint.

Have never had a facial and hope to try one soon. I love pedicures but have no patience for waiting for the polish to dry so now I just get them without polish. My feet feel great and I don't wear sandals anyway. :D

    So, get this.

Out of the blue, Mrs. tbf sends me an email with a ring she picked out from some Web site. I was way off. She wants a solitaire.

Bags, solitaires are classic, timeless pieces. My mom's solitaire is beautiful.

Ladies, I've never been to a spa. I have no idea what it's like. I think it even intimidates me now, because I don't know what to expect or how to act. Maybe one day my hubby will get a clue and get me a gift certificate to one or something.

I've had spa massages and I highly recommend you have one, KG.

KG, my husband and I got a "couple's massage" yesterday. It was his first time at a spa.

Despite merciless teasing that the only reason he agreed to it was lingering curiosity about what happens in the girls' locker room, he thoroughly enjoyed himself.

If someone as unreconstructedly XY as my husband can have a good time at a spa, you really are overdue.

Love them. Love! It's lots of time naked, in water, in sauna, in steam room.. drinking water, eating fruit.. and then the lovely massage. I've usually showered three or four times before I am called for my massage. And if you're not good with the naked, take a swim suit for the hot tub/sauna areas...
