Just an opinion, but unless you really work at that style, 99% of the time it looks like hell.

Yeah, that's my concern. I'm seeing lots of product and flat ironing in my future. Hmmm.

Exactly...you need the wax stuff and straightener and the time to do it.

I have the time, just not the inclination. I'm a procrastinator. I wake up at least 2-3 hours before work, but never even get in the shower until about an hour before, jump out, wrap in a towel, pack a lunch, run a comb through it, grab a headband and go.

Maybe this, which appears to be really close, only with side bangs and no piecey-ness.

I have no idea why, but Julia Stiles always ends up as my hair muse.

That is very cute, especially with the highlights.

The second looks like a more forgiving cut for everyday, but it still has enough shape that you could make it look really styled if you wanted to.

I went with a somewhat modification of both. Has the wispy side bangs (though longer) of the Stiles cut, but not quite that thinned out. It's a slight reverse bob, where it's a LITTLE higher in the back, but not bad. I'm a big fan. I haven't had bangs in a long time.

Where are my shoe mavens? I need help!

I need casual shoes I can walk decent distances in (say, sightseeing in a city). I want something as comfortable and durable as sneakers, but not white (preferably black) and more stylish. I'm in love with my Converse but they offer zero foot support.

I ordered a pair of "fashion athletic" shoes from Adidas and I swear they looked like a cross between football cleats and upholstery on grandma's sofa. They went back.

Any good brands to recommend? Anyone want to take a stab at finding some for me? I'm hunting through Zappos but my eyes are starting to cross.

I haven't tried them on, so I don't know about the support, but Coach's Katelyn line of shoes are cute. You can probably find them relatively cheaply.

Try anything by Merrell. I particularly love their Chameleon Web shoes and can walk the Great Wall of China in them if I had to.
Also, you could check out Dansko, although these might not be as casual as you are looking for.

I always think Puma's shoes look cute, but I can't wear them.
