Back to the nail polish talk: I've wanted a bottle of Chanel's Vamp for, oh, 13 years. I've found conflicting information in the makeup blogosphere: 1) that it's been discontinued and 2) that Chanel re-released it as "Rouge Noir" but it's still No. 18. There's a "Vamp" listed on the website, but it looks too pink to be the original red-black hue. Anyone have insight?

 

You could call a Chanel counter at a dept store, they might know. I agree the color on website isn't even close.

But if you like the original Vamp, try essie's Wicked....same dark-red-almost-blackish....I get a million compliments on it.

 

Just went to return the Cashmere Mist gift set I had gotten my mom for Christmas --- "Do you remember the perfume I had to find the day after Christmas? The one I had smelled in the magazine that I couldn't remember what it was called and they gave us little containers of lotion samples? Yeah, I don't like that." --- and tried some new stuff for me.

I can't find pictures of the Bass kitten heels that I got on Black Friday online.

Though I attended two team banquets last week, I chose not to wear them. The volleyball players were too much taller than me for the heels to matter, and the soccer players, well... that inch might've made me taller than the coach. ;D I'm hoping to learn to walk in them without too much pain soon.

Has anyone read the report about high levels of lead in lipsticks? I checked Snopes.com and apparently it's a recurring issue that may or may not be worthy of worry.
