oh my gosh these eyeliner tips are fantastic. cadet, what brand of pen do you recommend?

my tip is to get both a liquid pen liner and a crayon liner with a smudger on the other end. use the crayon to line, then smudge. then use the liquid pen to get close to the eye. the result is a mini smokey look that avoids the harsh black stripe.

Lancome Le Stylo waterproof----swear by it. Has a fine point (but not too fine) on one end and a smearer on the other end. Lasts all day. I'm not a big Lancome fan, but I'm addicted to this.

As for the sephora shoppers with no stores nearby....online shopping?

Shoes: Can't really beat zappos. If you call them to say you don't know what size, they'll send you both. Crazy.

I live amidst a billion stores, and I hate stores. Just let me order online. I think I know every website ever invented, lemme know what you need.

(and ps, if you like Laura Mercier mulberry, she has a whole palette of similar colors, just saw it on blissworld.com......)

More power to you, 21, but I could never do it. My body is hard to fit, and so I MUST try everything on. And I can't imagine buying shoes without trying them on...sometimes I'm a 9, sometimes I'm a 10. Can't buy three pairs to figure out which it is.

We just had two Sephoras open up here. But I had a MAC attack and I'm hooked. Haven't even set foot in Sephora.

Here's a question. Thoughts on H&M? We've had one open up here but I don't get it. The clothes strike me as cheaply mad and not very well designed.

I keep thinking that those nasty Euros just sent us a very dumbed-down version of their chain.

Works the best when you already have something in black, love it, and decide you should have it in brown and blue.

Now THAT I can see. Makes sense, especially if you can find the 'free shipping' deals.

Bingo. Cheaply made tacky copies of trendy stuff. Bad idea for anyone over the age of 20-ish.

Always confuses me, because What Not To Wear sends people there all the time, and they're ALWAYS talking about the importance of buying quality not quantity.

I walked into one, and it was very tacky-feeling. Not as nice as the one in NYC looks on WNTW.

I find it hard to believe that people are willing to spend the money and wear that crap to the office. Hell, take your time, spend the money on the right pieces at Banana Republic and such and before you know it, bam, a professional wardrobe.

I probably order something online every single day...and NEVER hit 'order now' until I google for coupon codes....free shipping, percent off, whatever. I also subscribe to a ton of website emails (at a separate email address just for shopping) for the sales and discount notices. I delete 90% of them, but the rest are worth it. I almost never pay for shipping.

I never put that much effort into it. I should. Wore a jacket to work tonight I bought online, love it, but I guessed. Worked out well that time...
