I actually like the players and coaches they have. The fans? Hell, it's like football was invented when they got good.

I covered a few Oregon games when Bellotti was still the coach and I thought their fans were great. They traveled well and were well-behaved.

I've lost track of the number of people who have told that that has changed dramatically over the last 10 years.

Auburn has its statement to ESPN and open letter from the AD "to the Auburn family" posted on its website.
Not surprisingly, it more or less says, "We're all a bunch of good boys and girls, the story is wrong, nothing to see here, yada yada."
