Would activists be involved, and would they be "pitching" the story to the media?

Oh, and btw, I was wrong about there being an arrest in the murder of Islan Nettles. Police are still searching for her killer.

Is the Harlem community actively helping in the search? Will she get "justice"?

Edit: Well, fuck. ABC says the police are still searching for her killer, other reports say an arrest has been made.

I don't understand the "iced tea" thing, either.

And, again, I can't really debate on generalities. Charles Blow wrote a column, and "the media," an anthropomorphic entity, used that column, allegedly, as a source for the next 18 months. As much as I know that YF is pretty widely read, I can't just concede this without a pretty extensive look at the overall coverage in mainstream, respectable news outlets.

I'm not sure the media was hiding anything so much as they were being lazy and uninformed. Which is, of course, an indictment and perhaps the one that YF is getting at - letting partisan media establish the facts, which then don't get examined.
