See, it doesn't have to be a "conspiracy". But the lack of proof for a conspiracy doesn't mean the press doesn't have a common mindset that alters the coverage of the news, and what news gets covered.

Bottom line: The juxtaposition of Skittles and a gun was compelling. Reporters dream of that kind of symbolism showing up in a story. So they didn't let the truth get in the way of a great story.

So, why did the clerk motion to them then?

When did Trayvon get high? He had THC in his system, and Zimmerman reports that he looked like he was "on drugs". Maybe Zimmerman was right. Was Trayvon high?

And, why does he wait around, and only leave once the subsequent customer leaves with the item Trayvon wanted?

Before you criticize further, you should know that Trayvon talks about "blunts" on social media, so it's not like he hasn't smoked them before.

But, the opposite is also true. They don't look for that kind of symbolism in other stories, and they wouldn't have had it here, if it wasn't pitched to them.

But, the media was never curious about this. They never found his drug dealer. They never explored his drug use at all.
