After what happened a couple months ago, the notion that he was even on Twitter shows a pretty high level of stupidity.

If anyone at the Post has common sense, Terry Frei will be back on the Avs beat by the end of the day.

Did you read the statement? Sounds like he's had a little bit of a wake-up call. Of course, this can go one of two ways. I hope he does realize he needs to fix it.

 

I read the statement. His excuse is that with his temper, he was always going to be a bad mix with social media. Of course, that doesn't even begin to address why he was fired, which was for being a misogynist douchebag. The "temper" thing sounds like his way of pretending he's just a little too bad-ass for Twitter, when in reality he's just a drunken asshole.

At least he copped to being a drunk, but it's up to him to decide whether that will be his wake-up call, or if being a drunk will just be his excuse.

 

Well, he said it was the combination of his temper and the substance abuse. As others have said, alcohol/drugs and Twitter/Facebook/etc don't mix. Especially if you are an angry person with thin skin. Sounded like he has realized he needs help, and I hope he can take care of it.

 

Not much good seems to come from Twitter. Always hearing about people who go on rants, shoot off their mouths, stay crazy stuff, etc. I understand we all have our moments, but I'm just glad I don't broadcast my rants for the whole damn world to read.
