Hootie and the Blowfish. I can understand the backlash caused by Hold My Hand and Only Wanna Be With You. But Cracked Rear View is such a good album, from beginning to end.

Beyond that, there's a soulful quality in Darius Rucker's voice that I dig.

How about Black Oak Arkansas? Or the Blind Boys from Alabama? The Texas Playboys?

If the rule applies to individuals, then you're wiping out a great bluesman since "B.B." as in "B.B. King" stands for "Beale Street Blues Boy." And Conway Twitty's stage name comes from a town in Arkansas and one in Texas.

Rucker has great pipes, but I always felt like you couldn't really believe anything he sung.
And that was reinforced when he refashioned himself into a country act.
Every work he sings just sounds fake to me.

I think you guys are getting a little too worked up over Bob's geographical name theory.

Anyway, not sure people hate this guy, but I think he's viewed as silly by many. But Alice Cooper made some great music during the '70s. We'll not mention his Frankenstein-based "comeback" in the mid-80s.

I have Vince's greatest hits album.

You know, Crazy Ted Nugent's first two solo albums are good.

How about his stuff with the Amboy Dukes? Love this song.

The lead singer, Mr. Dandy, was missing a tooth from what I remember of him from The Midnight Special, Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, or wherever it was.

    Liked Ruby Starr, though.
