Very good album, but the key is to get the CD, which also had "We Said Hello Goodbye" on it. One of the best tracks Phil Collins ever pieced together.

Collins' first four albums, thanks in large part to the Phenix Horns (Earth, Wind and Fire's instruments needed something good to do for a while, eh?), and his work on the film "Tarzan" was top-shelf stuff. Otherwise? Well ....

Try telling people you also have albums from Mike Rutherford, Tony Banks and Steve Hackett. That'll clear the room out ...

I know you do, but outside of you, me and Boom..

Edit: Someone I've never got is George Thorogood, but Jim Suhler from his band has a great album out. Don't know why Thorogood never appealed to me. Carry on..

    I enjoy:
    Phish
    The Grateful Dead
    Bob Dylan
    Neil Young
I don't know why some people don't like them.

    I have no use for:
    Boston
    Journey
    Bob Seeger
    Bruce Springsteen
    John Cougar
    Pearl Jam
    Metallica

Thorogood was the "headliner" one night at the St. Pete Blues Fest a few years back. After about three songs, my brother and I looked at each other and this brief conversation followed:

Me: Every song sounds the same.

Brother: Ya, this guy sucks. The Fixer? (laughter)

Me: You wanna get out of here?

    Brother: Ya.

    (Laughter and footsteps)

Saw both A Flock of Seagulls and Men at Work at the US Festival in 1983. The dude from Flock of Seagulls stared at his own hair through the whole set. Men at Work was really, really good. (They were second-billed with the Clash headlining, and they were much, much better than the Clash.)

Colin Hay has also done some great solo stuff, though only about 3 people have heard it. "My Brilliant Feat" is tremendous.

The big hair guy from Flock of Seagulls was doing blow at the bar after the show I saw. Not sure if it was his. I was drunkenly mocking him from a distance.

In a couple of Thorogood songs, he will replay the same riff over and over for 5-6 minutes straight.

Pay special attention to the sax in the background. It will feel like cold water dripping on your head after a few minutes.

I once drunkenly mocked one of the guys from Social Distortion (whom I like) by telling everyone at the bar that he was with Dread Zeppelin (whom I also). The guy got pretty mad.

I'm guessing it was not the great Mike Ness.
