I hate that sort of argument. Most pitchers give up most of their runs in a few bad starts. That's normal. It's the bad starts that make them bad. If your ERA is 4.49 in your best stretch of the season, that's pretty bad. Most pitchers will be much better if you let them take out their bad stretch.

If Tony Perez is in, half the ballot should make it.

Alomar is a lock. Dawson should have been in years ago. I want to see Tim Raines get in as well, but I figure that will be another few years.

I kind of think Blyleven will get in his final try, which is stupid, but that's how the voters seem to like to do it.

IIRC -- and Machine will correct me if I'm wrong -- Blyleven pitched through an injury that season, because the Twins were still in the race. Not that it matters to a buffoon like Chass.

Raines was at 46.2 percent on that ballot posted on the last page. That's a bigger outrage than anything Blyleven-related.

If Raines and Dawson didn't play the bulk of their careers in Montreal, both would be in right now.

Heyman is getting absolutely EVISCERATED all over the place for his ballot. None of it makes sense.

But he defends it. I have no idea why.

Costas keeps saying Idelson "will make the reveal" at 2.
What the fuck language is that?
