Time to take a long, hard look at this process. As in, maybe disassembling it for good.

    Can't believe Alomar wasn't a first-ballot Hall of Famer ... how?

First year guys on ballot are not strong next year. Bagwell and Palmeiro only ones with a shot.

Surhoff, Marquis Grissom, John Franco, Bret Boone, Al Leiter, Benito Santiago, Carlos Baerga, Raul Mondesi, Bobby Higginson, Wilson Alvarez, Rey Sanchez, Charles Johnson, Jose Offerman, Ugueth Urbina, Ismael Valdez, Dan Wilson, Paul Quantrill, Cal Eldred, Kirk Rueter, Steve Reed

Just have a museum and be done with it?

Blyleven being so gracious and classy on mlb.

The blank ballot thing is such an arrogant travesty...you don't want to vote, then resign as a voter. No doubt now we'll get the 'making a statement' column defending the blanks. Ugh.

Blyleven on the phone with MLB Network... what a truly class act!

Hilarious that MLBN got Bert on the phone before Hawk. :D

LJB: No one would go to the museum without the Hall -- especially not to Cooperstown.
Spnited: Bill James' idea of a multi-step, multi-contributor process, including Hall members, other media, fans, etc., is certainly workable.

Blyleven really impressive in that MLB Network interview. Had to be a punch in the gut.

No way Palmeiro gets in on the first ballot. I think too many voters are going to punish him for his little act in front of Congress.

Bagwell should get in, but I thought the same of Alomar and Raines.

I'd love an explanation for the blank ballots ... what a joke.
