Baseball Hall of Fame ballot released

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Hank_Scorpio, Nov 27, 2009.

  1. But he's not mocking the process.

  2. You're right. Clean as a whistle, that one.

Some douchetards with a ballot simply refuse to vote for a guy the first time out of some inane principle. They're retarded and kept Alomar out this year.

The whole thing is a joke now. First Rice then Dawson? LOL

HOW AM I GOING TO EXPLAIN TO MY KIDS WHY A GUY WITH A SUB .330 OBP MADE IT TO THE HALL OF FAME?

I don't have any problem with someone saying they don't think anyone from this class was worthy. That's their opinion and there wasn't exactly a Ricky Henderson or a Cal Ripken this year.

I thought Alomar would have sailed in with about 90 percent. I thought Dawson would have barely gotten in and Blyleven finished about where I thought he would. He'll eventually get in.

I'm not a voter and won't ever be. But I was real good friends with a guy who died last year and had a vote. He thought the Hall should be above the fringe candidates like Tony Perez and Dawson. He only wanted the best of the best. As such, he often turned in blank votes. I respected that opinion and wish more shared it.

That being said, Alomar fits in my book.

Unless you can prove otherwise, you're an asshole for saying it. And even if you could prove it, do you know how much it would have aided him?

Then they've proven that they don't understand the game well enough to be voting.

In my opinion, Tony Perez is the worst player to be voted in by the writers in my lifetime. Perez was never as dominant as Dawson was. He just played on one of the best teams of all-time while Dawson played in a city that never gave a fuck about baseball.

Once again, I am ecstatic that McGwire is left at home. I can't wait to see which other players are impacted by steroid allegations.

There are only two possibilities, Waylon.

Either he's mocking the process or he's too stupid to participate in the process. You can choose.

But someone who argues that Bert Blyleven never had a dominant season, or that, somehow, he prefers "dominance" to longevity, yet won't vote for Tim Raines but will vote for Don Mattingly, well, that shit just doesn't make a lick of sense.

For fuck's sake, he goes on and on about wins and losses for pitchers, then votes for Jack Morris. It's like it was written by a third-grader.

So every year there has to be a deserving candidate?

I think most of the writers have already proven that by who they do and do not vote for.
