Did he hit three home runs last season?

Thanks for playing, Andruw. Strikes out swinging at a pitch two feet outside and down in the dirt.

Another run of injuries for the Angels. Torii Hunter has a strained abductor muscle in his right groin and will probably go on the DL Friday. Vlad Guerrero is hurting again, too.

Here's something that's pretty cool: the Nationals and Astros continue a suspended game from early May today. Play was halted in the bottom of the 11th inning--the Nats were batting with 1 out and a runner on first. If Washington manages to score before the end of the inning, the win will go to Joel Hanrahan (who pitched the top of the 11th)...though he has since been traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Has something like that ever happened before, where a pitcher on another team gets credited with a victory? Tim Kurkjian must be salivating at the possibility.

With the way Hanrahan has been going this year, he'll find a way to LOSE that game.

Anybody want a former NL batting champion and current All-Star really cheap? Sounds like a bucket of baseballs or a warm six pack will do it.

  9. If Freddie gets to 600 PA this year then his $8 million 2010 salary kicks in.

That might explain why the Pirates are so hot to move him. Same old Pirates.

Was watching a bit of the Astros broadcast yesterday, and they were running down the list of guys who started the game and won't finish it. Between trades, roster moves and injuries it was something like seven or eight players (including, I think, a couple who were in the lineup when it was suspended) who are no longer with the teams.
How do they sort that out? Can they replace them with people on the current roster, or do they just have to use the guys that were on the team and still on the team?

Rays beat Hallday for second time in 11 days. David Price allows 1 run in 6 innings.

Bad news: only 9Ks, so no free pizza for Rays fans. Boo!

Anyone on the current roster who didn't play in Part I can play in Part II.

I would assume that both managers will have to submit updated line-up cards with the replacements for the guys who were in the line-up when the game was suspended but aren't with the clubs anymore.
