The game lasted 2:31. Pregame lasted 50 minutes.

The guy interviewing Crawford looks thinner than when he and Miri made the porno.

 

Quickest All-Star game since 1988? And it isn't like Fox went easy on the commercials and other filler. And yet 2:31 doesn't exactly seem like a quick game.

 

That's not bad for a regular season game, let alone an all-star game.

 

Note to AP photo desk: Pretty sure that's Roy Halladay that Joe Mauer's talking to in your shot, and not "Texas pitcher Josh Hamilton".

Also, thanks for moving one shot of the back of my man Mauer's head. That's gonna look stunning as my lede art tomorrow.

Been away for about a week, so I must say this after the fact ...

I now it's not a bad deal in the grand scheme of things, both to the game in general and the players involved, but Greinke really should have started that game. Throwing a bone to Royals fans like me who have gone through the lean seasons looking for a glimmer of hope, that would have been a rare highlight this decade. Besides, he probably did deserve it.

But hey, Halladay starting did serve one purpose -- it made for a better game. Had Greinke started, maybe the AL pitches a shutout.

 

Costas had a pretty good interview with Obama on MLB.com.
