    How the heck does that make any sense? Are they thinking Martinez is going to play regularly at cather?

    Maybe Kotchman gets put into the deal with the Indians?

    I can google. Was hoping someone who actually follows the Sox could offer some insight aside from a scouting report.

    Strange. If anyone could have been considered done with trades, it was the Braves.

    Kotchrocket has to get turned into something else now, but what?

    Well, he was a first-round sandwich pick last year out of Rice, where he pitched in the rotation and bullpen. He got called up to high-A a month or so ago and hasn't been good, with an ERA above 6, but he was very decent in regular A ball. He probably wasn't one of their top-5 pitching prospects at the moment, but he's another guy that throws a 2-seamer...he seems a lot like Masterson to me. Not much more to say about him than that at this point.
